Kidnapped is a 2024 British crime drama series directed by Al McKay. Kidnapped is based on the true story of the 2017 kidnapping of British model Chloe Ayling. With a mix of suspense and psychological drama, the series is a must-see for fans of true crime stories.
Chloe Ayling (Nadia Parkes), a 20-year-old British model, travels to Milan in 2017 for a fake photoshoot. She is taken into hiding by a gang of criminals led by MD (Julian Swieczewski) and Michal (Jaroslav Chipichl). Chloe, locked in an apartment, is facing threats from a group called the Black Death who are demanding a ransom of €300,000. Her manager, Phil Green (Adrian Edmondson), contacts the British Consulate, but the investigation by the local police, including Inspector Storari (Sergio Romano), is hampered. Chloe is released after six days, but her return to London is met with skepticism from the media, including Piers Morgan (Robert Glenister) and Susanna Reid (Louise Delmere). She tries to prove the truth with the help of her friend Amber (Olivo Gray) and her lawyer Francesco Pesce (Lorenzo Riquelme). The series finale depicts Chloe's struggle with societal judgment.
