Chief of War is a historical and epic series with an unprecedented narrative from the perspective of Native Hawaiians, depicting the true and tense story of the unification of the Hawaiian Islands. Chief of War tells the story of a warlord who enters a decisive battle to protect his land from the threat of colonization in the midst of a bloody battle.
The story begins in the 18th century, when the Hawaiian Islands are engaged in bloody internal conflicts. Different tribes and kingdoms continue to fight each other to maintain their territory. In the meantime, a young and intelligent warlord, who believes that the only way to survive against the threat of European colonizers is through unity, takes the lead of a movement. Bypassing tribal ties, love, loyalty and bloodshed, he slowly invites the other leaders of the islands to unite, either through diplomacy or by sword. Alongside him, Kahumanu, a wise and influential woman, plays a key role in guiding the political and cultural unity of the alliance. The series' story is filled with epic battles, internal conflicts, and complex moral decisions that shape the future of the Hawaiian people. Ultimately, the commander becomes the founder of a future that changes the fate of his nation by forming the United Kingdom of Hawaii.
