Retired detective Elizabeth (Helen Mirren) and her friends Ron (Pierce Brosnan), Abraham (Ben Kingsley) and Joyce (Celia Emery) are solving old murder cases at the retirement village of Coopers Chase. The arrival of Joyce, a former nurse, coincides with the investigation of a case started by their old friend Penny. But when a suspicious death occurs near the village, the team is drawn into the investigation of a real murder.They work with Donna (Naomi Ackie), a rookie cop, to investigate suspects including Ian Wentham (David Tennant), the owner of the village, and Bobby Tanner (Richard E. Grant), a mysterious gangster. Elizabeth’s husband Stephen (Jonathan Pryce) and Ron’s son Jason (Tom Ellis) also enter the story. As the number of victims increases, the group faces unexpected dangers. The ending, with the killer revealed, is a surprise.
