Ash, a mysterious middleman, uses analog methods such as a telephone relay service for the deaf to handle deals between whistleblowers and corrupt corporations. He returns sensitive documents in exchange for large sums of money while remaining anonymous. The story begins with his successful deal with Hoffman, a former pharmaceutical company employee. But everything changes when he is contacted by Sarah, a researcher who has stolen documents from an agricultural company with toxic chemicals.Sarah, pursued by the task force led by Dawson and Rosetti, asks Ash for protection. Ash, against his rules, approaches Sarah and becomes involved in a dangerous game of chase and escape in New York. Revealing secrets about the company and his own past, Ash tries to save Sarah with the help of Wash, his AA mentor, and clever tricks. The film ends with a surprising twist, leading to his final confrontation with Dawson.
